Volunteers Sought for Anti-Doping Committee

World Wheelchair Rugby (WWR) Anti-Doping Manager (ADM) is establishing a new Anti-Doping Committee (ADC) and is looking for volunteers to contribute to this vital committee.

The ADC duties are:

Develop and implement policies and procedures and make recommendations to the WWR Board of Directors and General Assembly on matters relating to anti-doping, including:

  • Maintaining and updating the WWR Anti-Doping Rules;
  • Standards for anti-doping, including in-competition and out-of-competition testing and the Registered Testing Pool;
  • Oversight of external providers of anti-doping services contracted to WWR;
  • Anti-doping awareness and education;
  • Assistance to event organizers on anti-doping requirements; and

The ADC will meet virtually no more than four times a year.

Committee members should have experience in anti-doping matters. Experience in sport for athletes with an impairment will be an asset.
